Tutkin kolmen kankaan sarjassani valtasuhteita ja kutistumisen tematiikkaa kudotun tekstiilin kautta. Sarjan kankaat koostuvat eri tavoin käyttäytyvistä materiaaleista ja tekstiilirakenteista. Kudonnassa ominaisuuksiltaan erilaiset elementit risteävät, rypistäen, kiristäen ja taivuttaen toisiaan. Kävijä saa tunnustella kankaita. Visuaalisesti kankaissa on kuvattuna ihon pintarakenteita, ihohuokosia ja ryppyjä. Työskentelyä on tukenut Taiteen Edistämiskeskus.

In the series of three fabrics, I explore the power dynamics and the theme of shrinkage through woven textiles. The fabrics consist of materials and textile structures that behave differently in relation to each other. In weaving, elements with different properties intersect, creasing, tightening and bending each other. The visitor is allowed to feel the fabrics. Visually, the fabrics depict the surface textures, pores and wrinkles of the skin. Work has been supported by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland.
