Lovey is a concept and a prototype of a multisensorial device created in collaboration with industrial designer Eugenia Rosina. It is the result of exploring the haptic, emotional and technological properties of textiles in order to improve mental health.
With different textures, patterns and surfaces, as well as visual animations and vibrations, Lovey works as a focus object. Activated by the user via a pressure-sensitive textile switch, It overcomes the symptoms of an upcoming panic attack by stimulating the user’s senses and guiding their breathing rhythm, reducing hyperventilation and calming the body.
